Florida Prep

What a lush oasis! High hedges and potted boxwood.

As I am in Florida enjoying a little relaxation at my childhood home, I am so much more appreciative of all the lush tropical landscape that surrounds me. Maybe because all the Dallas grass is still an unfortunate shade of dead brown, I am just much more attune to all the beauty. Palm trees, bougainvillea, and blossoming flowers all look so pretty glistening in the reflection of the Gulf waters.

I recently posted an instagram photo of one of the most talented Floridian landscape designer, Keith Williams of Nievera Williams Landscape Architecture. As I posted that photo, I also flipped through Coastal Living in which Williams’ great landscape talent is on display in the grounds of a gorgeous lush Palm Beach home. With a fun Floridian ambience and sunny-chic design created by designer Mary McGee, this home is the epitome of old Florida prep. If this home doesn’t make you happy, there is a good chance you are in need of a trip to the sunshine state.
