Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I recently went behind-the-scenes on a project for Dunbar Road Design in Paris and London. It was a treat to see the cities from their design eyes, plus they threw quite the dinner party! Back in Dallas we had a mini taste of fall and it was glorious. In the most exciting news, I have a date for you… The first home tour of the season will air Sunday, September 29th. An Unlikely Source

I’ll be honest, when I think of Etsy the first thing that comes to mind is monogrammed cups, bachelorette party swag, and knick-knacks that I do not need. It wasn’t until I did a Chic Peek Tour of Daley Bennett’s house that I completely changed my mindset. I now know I can buy everything from beautiful turkish rugs and chinoiserie panels, to luxe brass hardware and custom roman shades.

Let There Be Light…And Pattern!

I have been noticing a wonderfully chic trend in lighting recently. Again, I hesitate using the word trend. However, beautiful patterned lampshades were once reserved for those who could only afford custom design- not anymore!  It is really something how a beautiful lampshade can immediately elevate a room. You can easily take a plain white or acrylic lamp base and add a punch of pattern and color. I have rounded up some of my favorite rooms incorporating patterned lampshades, as well as my personal picks that can chicly light up your living room.
