Hello lovelies! I took a bit of a break from the blog trying to soak in the last days of summer. As I mentioned earlier, I headed to Nantucket with friends. There was not a cloud in the sky and the weather stayed in the ideal seventies and eighties. Every time I go there, I can’t help but find it more enchanting than the last time. The shingled homes and lush floral landscapes can’t help but put a smile on your face.
One neighborhood I have always admired is the charming and quiet ‘Sconset. You can take the walking path overlooking the ocean and literally go through the backyards of fabulous homes. Some of the path has been discontinued due to erosion, but it really is the perfect morning jaunt to make with coffee in hand. How I would give anything to be back, but I am really happy to be back with all of you!
More dreamy Nantucket pictures tomorrow!
Picturesque side porch and hedged up arbor.
Okay. I am ready to go back again and plant myself on this hammock. Great. Thanks. Bye!
This photo does not do the spheres of boxwood justice.
I just love all off the arbors throughout Nantucket. It really brings a sense of charm to every home.
Smelled as good as it looked.
One look at this, and all is right in the world.
I love the simple green of this landscape.
Hydrangeas for days.
From the house to the beach.
Now that is a hedge! It really was even more beautiful in person.
What back porch dreams are made of.
I just adore this image. The screen door open, crushed gravel, and small pots of boxwoods surround the most beautiful pink hue of hydrangeas.
Look at the stripe of the lawn. My goal one day is to have a home with a striped lawn (preferably this one).
My friend on the trip, Tyler Watson, snagged this photo as we were walking. How can you not love the trellis up the roof and the ideal Nantucket red door.
The home belonging to one of the first residents of Nantucket. Small, yet mighty in style and ambience.
The window boxes were such a treat to see.
The sun wasn’t my friend capturing this one, but you get the sense of enchantment.
This may have been my favorite front exterior.
