Let me start my saying, this isn’t your typical Beyond the Curb home tour. Also, Happy 2024! There is always something so fresh and invigorating about the start of a new year. In some ways it feels like my new year began in the last quarter of 2023. It was very heavy on my heart the idea of “all things new,” so I decided to move for the first time in eight years into an apartment, which I lovingly refer to as “the jewel box.”
I am very fortunate that I didn’t have to buy too much for my new space, in fact I had to purge quite a bit. With 1,100 sq. ft, I maximized every inch. While I couldn’t change the bones since it is a leased apartment, I wanted to make sure every corner made an impact. My own personal style focuses on family antiques mixed with various shades of greens ranging from deep olive to sea mist. Peel and stick wallpaper added texture and interest to the most intimate spaces in the apartment, while vignettes throughout carefully display my love of books and treasured collections.
The interiors of this apartment are very much a reflection of my own personal style. I am so happy to share it with you all. Below you will find many of my personal items linked to shop. If it is not listed, it most likely is an antique or something no longer made.
A few notes:
While I was wearing an Alice Walk sweater, the rechargeable lamp in my bathroom is in fact from Mrs. Alice. Whoops!
I also meant to share that it is possible in many apartments to ask maintenance to store ceiling fans so you can put up your own light fixtures. That is what I did!
