I found out something new this past month- I LOVE Santa Barbara. Technically speaking, I love Montecito. That is where Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is located. A nice three day weekend was the perfect time to make a getaway from Dallas. My two friends and I flew on the easy non-stop American Airlines flight straight from Dallas to Santa Barbara. Ready for our girls weekend, we landed on Friday night and went directly to the hotel.
We were greeted with the same friendly hospitality that I have witnessed every time I have stayed at a Four Seasons. Joaquin escorted us to our beautiful room, where we were greeted with a cheese plate and a delicious bottle of wine. There was one consistent theme throughout our stay- excellent service. That said, the charming old California colonial aesthetic and lush landscape provided a beautiful backdrop on the large 22 acre property.
Disclosure: My Sunday night stay was comped by The Four Seasons. I paid for my stay the other two nights.
The Grounds
Despite being a vast property right off of the Pacific Ocean front, it felt quaint and intimate. They label many of the unique plants on the grounds of the resort. You can also request a botanical guide of the plants on the property to help you readily identify them. My favorite part of the the stay was simply wandering around the immaculate grounds.
The ocean is directly across the street from the hotel. Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club, a members club which is available to hotel guests, has direct access. You can also just walk across the street and walk the beach. This beach does have quite a few rocks on it. For a full beach day, they recommend Miramar Beach.
There were two pools to choose from! The pool at Coral Casino and the pool right in the hotel. Coral Casino has a very large pool, even bigger than an Olympic size swimming pool. The pool at the hotel is much more lush and reserved. They both offer food and drinks poolside.
We had so much fun going in the hot tub after dinner. The full moon was incredible and the new night mode on my iPhone 11 captured it perfectly.

Accommodations
I simply adored our room. The lavender toile curtains, wall to wall carpet, a beautiful canopied bed, and pretty patterned tile bathrooms left me inspired by color and serenity. I love how they left plenty of bottled water around the room for us to enjoy (most hotels do not give water and I find it so frustrating).
They would put really sweet facts about the hotel by the bed each night. The Four Seasons Santa Barbara is full of history.
SPA
The spa was breathtakingly beautiful. Not to mention, it was one of the best massages I have had in awhile. First, you go into the changing area where there is a sauna and a steam room. After, you walk up an exterior staircase into a private waiting area. The view from the top of the stairs is picture worthy!
The waiting area, where we had champagne after our massages.
I loved how the treatment room was light and open. I didn’t have anyone in here with me, but would be the best spot for a couples massage.
A view into the rose garden from the spa.
Dining
The bar was fun and lively every night. A large fireplace and outdoor fire pit made for an ambient setting.
Bella Vista, meaning “pretty view” in Spanish, had an exceptional breakfast. They offered an extensive buffet that looked amazing. Our server didn’t inform us of the buffet, or else we would have tried it! The patio was packed with families, couples, friends, and even a celeb or two (won’t tell you who)!
Coral Casino is a members club, and also an extension of the Four Seasons. It sits right across the street from the resort. An easy two minute walk and you are right on the beach with a huge pool and fabulous drinks. I highly recommend the tuna poke.
Tydes restaurant had the coolest aquarium bar.
Drinks that matched the sunset!
Who doesn’t love room service? It was bittersweet since we had to head to the airport.
Also, the Santa Barbara Airport was the most charming little airport I have ever seen. I highly recommend flying in and out of SBA to avoid a long drive to L.A.
An ideal girls weekend in the books! Thanks to Emmy and Curry for joining in on a wonderful trip!
