Yesterday, I took a drive over to Ft. Worth to visit a friend of mine. Sometimes it is easy to forget that a whole other city is just a drive away. There are sprawling yards, slightly rolling hills (for this part of Texas that is huge), and truly classic homes. While ranch and colonial style dominates, I love how modern owners create an updated curb appeal. It was truly inspiring to see beautiful and serene neighborhoods fit for families. Less fuss and timeless taste!
Hope you enjoy a glimpse of these cowtown homes! A big thanks to Emmy for showing me around and being the best co-pilot!
I love these gum drops of boxwood and the long covered porch.
An estate. Layers of hedging.
Climbing ivy on white brick- nothing makes me happier.
This house had the most ideal courtyard landscaping. Lots of boxwood and potted potato vine.
I wish you could really see the hedging up to the house. Very well done.
White and barrel tile.
A lovely red brick on a very cool corner lot.
Black shutters dress up this home of stone.
This roof style always gets to me. So old school and spectacular.
My favorite of the entire visit! You can’t go wrong with a white brick home and black door and shutters!
Love the climbing vines.
What I really love to notice here is the ferns!! I love how plush they are with the perfect amount of texture.
I loved the gray blue shutters.
